So I've been floundering lately in the losing weight and getting healthy arena of life. I lost the good feelings from working out and eating right and have been searching for something to get me going again. Somehow I happened upon this "race" and NOW I am excited again!

Anyone ever participated in the Warrior Dash????

Anything I can wear Viking costumes while running through the forest and mud is all good to me!

An MFP friend is there right now in Chicago, I really want to go to and we'd meet up!! However it being on Father's Day and my husband a smoker and it being "his weekend" didn't want to. So I told him he owes me and we're going next year. Your in the lush's forum right? it's nisijam! So when she gets back be sure to ask her.

I totally agree I want that damn hat!! lol and I think it would be so much fun to camp during it to!!

My friends did it here in Texas. She posted about it on her blog. http://www.todaysletters.com/2010/05/warrior-dash-texas.html
Unfortunately, some girl fell face first into a fire pit and had to be taken by helicopter to a hospital. But they had a great great time!

I have never ran it before, but I am signed up for the Warrior Dash on September 12th (the 11th was full). I am so excited and talked a friend into joining me. Of course the wife thinks I am crazy but is supportive.

Can we talk about getting ready for it and stuff? I am curious what others are doing to get ready. For my work outs I have been using the “Couch to 5k” ( www.c25k.com ) workout routine and walk 3.2 miles on all the rest days.

Some advice I received was bring a trash bag to put your cloths in for the drive home. Have you heard any other good tips?
