Hungry The Day Before Big Loss?

I weigh daily to see trends and such (and because I'm to impatient to wait for once a week), and I've noticed something odd. I find that I'm really hungry all day the day before a rather sudden drop. This has happened a few times, and it's always just my normal routine, no more or less food than usual, and I'm not usually hungry (cutting out junk and soda has me under my calories for now). Does anyone else experience this?
The drops I'm talking about are about 1lb from one day to the next, and don't just come right back.

Interesting anecdote! Is there anything else you do different from day to day, like exercise? Sleep in?0

I discovered a similar phenomenon. If I experienced extreme hunger for a day or two, I knew a big chunk of fat was struggling to keep hold of me and would drop off soon.0

Yup! A lot.
I noticed this because I kept whooshing after I had a bunch of potato and started wondering if the potato was connected. I know that's not possible, but enough coincidences and you start wondering, you know?
I would eat a lot more and then whoosh, so then I started wondering if all those wacky EM2WL people weren't so wacky after all. I have a chart where I can see calories and weight and you can even see the spikes on calories followed by the drops in weight. (Not hopping on the EM2WL train,though. Just want to be clear about that!)
I'm hungrier before I whoosh. That much I've figured out. The rest, still haven't.
You really learn so much about your body when you spend years losing weight and paying attention, making notes, etc.0 -
I am not sure about other patterns like sleep and exercise, although I do tend to work out in the evening and I notice the hunger earlier in the day while I'm at work, so there's that.
That's cool to see at least some other people have a similar experience.0
