Back after an ACL tear!

Hello!! I'm back again! I have 65 pounds to lose, and a new (to me) ACL to help me do it!

A little back story: I was almost at goal weight when I got divorced a little over 4 years ago. Unfortunately, I gained back more than I had lost. Over the past 4 years, I have gone from 140 to 195. I have also gained a fiancé, a wonderful life here in a new town closer to family, and happiness!

In March, while doing some MMA with my cousin, I heard a pop in my knee while he was showing me a submission move. There was no traumatic movement. I wasn't tackled or thrown. He just moved my leg with his. At first, I just had a little stiffness and some instability. The docs thought I had slightly torn my MCL and perhaps the medial meniscus. I had some extra movement in the joints during their tests, but not a whole lot. It was the instability that freaked me out. It just didn't feel right. So, thanks to insurance, I went through 2 months of rehab with no progress. It didn't get worse, but it definitely didn't get better. An MRI later, and I discovered my MCL and medial meniscus were fine. My ACL, however, had ripped from the bone and exploded into rice noodles in my knee. Gross, yes? The docs were surprised and told me I must have very good muscles around my knee, because generally, there's much more instability in the knee joint, and I shouldn't be able to do some of the things I was doing. Ok, so surgery was done (allograft) and it stunk and was painful and I felt like a giant weenie, but here I am!! I'm 10 weeks out from surgery, and finally feeling cautiously optimistic about setting some fitness goals and participating in some challenges.

I'm getting remarried in a year, and I do NOT want to be at my heaviest!! (I am 8lbs from my highest PREGNANCY weight!!!)
I'm ready for some motivation!!
