This bloat don't float my boat!

I'm kinda annoyed right now. I had to get surgery to take my gallbladder out Tuesday (I lost my first 40-50 too fast and got stones, lots of stones). I'm recovering super well, was able to tackle going upstairs my first night home, and managed to overcome my fear of IV's; but my doctors kind of glossed over the fact that after laparoscopy, some of the air stays trapped inside. I didn't notice yesterday, but I've noticed it now and I feel like a massive balloon. It is really kind of messing with my mojo here, especially since I'd had just gotten down into an overweight bmi. I know the bloat will fade in a week or three and that I need to focus on healing, but in the mean time I can't fit most of my nice new clothes. This bloat is just so annoying and I have no idea how to deal with it. Any ideas on how to have this not nuke my motivation?

I think you have already said it yourself ' I know the bloat will fade in a week or three'. In the grand scheme of things this isn't a long time and although annoying is going to solve itself. What you need to concentrate on is recovering and see fitting into the new clothes as something you will be able to wear and something to look forward to rather than seeing them as something you can't do.
