Hi,
I am a follower of Jesus, wanting to take better care of the body He has given me to serve Him with. I am married, in my mid-twenties, foster/adoptive mom to 4 precious little ones ages 3 and under and looking to drop a few pounds. Because of my busy life style, I do not have much time for exercise beyond normal housework/childcare activities so I rely mostly on diet. I am looking for some friends to encourage and exchange ideas with. Please, no immodest pictures.

Weight loss is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Don't worry too much about extra exercise as I'm sure you get plenty taking care of the hooligans . If you don't have one, Pick up a Digital Scale. I got mine for $15 and it is amazing. Keep track of everything and weigh everything possible. Get your Husband involved as well. My girlfriend and I are all the support we need. This is a lifestyle change, not a diet. If you eat over your BMI daily limit then the weight will come back. It would be a great thing to teach the young ones as well. It is so simple yet it is crazy how it isn't common knowledge.
Try to cut out fried foods/soda/cookies/chips and cut down on bread and pasta. All of these are empty calories that are much better spent on eating meat and veggies to fill you up. I use light wraps instead of bread and save almost 100 calories for a "sandwich". I've been losing weight while still eating most of the same stuff I did before.
Plan your daily calories around dinner. That way you know how much you will have for the rest of the day. If you want to have a nice meal every now and then you can skip lunch or skimp throughout the day and look forward to that pizza or pasta.0
