Focus T25 calories

So I started T25. The hard and fast calorie suggestion seems a little off. You get a 1,200 or 1,600 calorie plan. Really? Just two choices?

I'm on Day 3 of 1,600 calories, but I'm a 246 pound male. It seems a little low. The traditional calculation puts it closer to 2,000 calories (yfitnesspal suggests 1,950 without workots, more like 2350+ with workouts).

Anyone on T25 and ignoring the calorie suggestion in favor of the traditional calculation? More like this:

Current Weight _____ x11 = Caloric Baseline
Caloric Baseline ______ + XYZ(Caloric Burn) - 750(Caloric Deficit) = Caloric Target
