I have a question....I don't work but I do workout 4-6 times a week.....so when I'm trying to figure out my TDEE do I put sedentary because I don't work....or do I put in my exercise? I'm currently eating 1360 calories a day. I'm 26 years old, 5'8 and 197 lbs. When I first started my weight was 209 lbs. I don't want to starve myself but I don't want to eat too much.

I'm just wanting to know about what I should put under activity on the TDEE. I'm also wondering what my macronutrient percentages should be? I've had so many people tell me different...

you workout 4-6 times per day? if so, you really think that's sedentary....

    sed·en·tar·y
    ˈsednˌterē/Submit
    adjective
(of a person) tending to spend much time seated; somewhat inactive.
synonyms: sitting, seated, desk-bound, stationary; More
(of work or a way of life) characterized by much sitting and little physical exercise.
synonyms: sitting, seated, desk-bound, stationary; More
    (of a position) sitting; seated.
synonyms: sitting, seated, desk-bound, stationary; More

sedentary has jack *kitten* to do with what you do as a job...you're confusing MFP NEAT method descriptors with TDEE. MFP only uses those descriptors because of the method utilized for calorie counting...

you have to look at your activity as a whole...you burn calories 24/7 just being alive...your body is a machine and the power switch is on...thus you are burning calories...lots of them. Beyond that, you have your day to day hum drum...work, shopping, whatever it is you do...then exercise...all of that requires energy (calories). You have to pick a level of activity that seems most appropriate...from there, you analyze the trends of your weight management goals and make adjustments.

these calculators are only meant to help get you started...they're just reasonably good estimates of where to start out...but they aren't even close to gospel. Once you have your own data to work with, use your own data...do the math and go from there.

    Agrees with @cwolfman13.

If I were you I would put lightly active, keep at it for at least a month and then reassess from there.
