Trying to lose weight in a healthy way

Hello!
I have struggled with my weight since I was 13. Back then I had an undiagnosed eating disorder and lost enough weight that I became underweight. Ever since then I've had trouble eating normally; either I would eat very little or I would eat too much. Recently, I gained 20 pounds in two months. I am now technically overweight for my height. I would like to lose weight in order to feel more comfortable, but I'm afraid that once I start, my old starving tendencies will come back. Is there anyone on here in a similar situation? I would like to hear how others have lost weight without going overboard.

    I have never been underweight, but struggle to keep myself at a healthy weight. That is one reason I like the My Fitness Pal food journal. I feel like if I am not so restrictive, I do a better job of keeping my weight down. Feel free to add me as a friend. I wish you the best with your health goals!
