Protein rich recipes for students?

I read that food that are chock full of protein is more satisfying than carbs and fats. That's why the Atkins diet works apparently, even though people were allowed to eat as much as possible they don't because they feel satisfied.

Is there any yummy protein rich dishes a college student could cook herself?

  • Well, I am a student and usually avoid meat because it's so expensive. But turkey is actually dirt cheap, as is a lot of fish...those meats with vegetables and some sort of carb are obviously very protein rich.

    Personally, I love 0% fat fage yoghurt, very protein dense and great for a snack or for breakfast with muesli or fruit or whatever! I sometimes snack on cans of tuna as well, but they can be expensive if you go for the brands.

    I mean any recipe which uses meat, fish, nuts, greek yoghurts....it's all going to pack a protein punch.
  • eggs, chicken breast...etc boring food..but get creative.
