I am struggling today

Have been good this week, but then last night after logging everything I went a bit mad with the chocolate chip cookies and a stick of rock :noway:

I have a lot going on this year, socially, to motivate me to keep going. I am happy with my figure right now, but just want to lose a few more lbs to be on the safe side. But am struggling to stay on track.

I know it is all in the mind and have to be strong......

Chocolate chip cookies are a personal weakness. I would bake a batch and eat a dozen or so. S then I had the genius idea to make a batch, only cook one small pan and freeze the rest of the dough. But you know what is delicious - frozen cookie dough. I ended up eating more that way. Live and learn and move on.

You know you're doing good - mind over matter - keep it up !

one bad day is ok, its when they could well become frequent that could be the problem....just keep focused on staying at your goal weight, think about how much you love the slimmer you, nothing beats slipping into those smaller sizes or being told how great you look...just keep thinking about that and stay positive :)
If I eat a little too much choc/treats I just make myself to another workout to counteract it :) so get moving today and make each day count :-D

Frozen cookie dough sounds delsih, Alwayssohungry  Don't get me on that now, lol

Ruth, that's what I have to keep saying to myself - don't want to get back to where I was or even near it! Think I may take a walk around the block at lunchtime.

Thanks both for your support x
  • I have been there. I do great all day and have one glass of wine - this leads to 3-4 and a binge. I get so mad and depressed. I am on day 3 of getting back on track and I feel sooooo much better. I am sleeping good and get up ready to have a good day. I find that weighing myself every morning helps as it keeps me from stuffing things into my mouth. I have been maintaining for a year and in the past month, put back on 5 lbs. They will come off!! I do not want to go back to the old me and have people behind my back say " she gained it all back, I knew she would"!! No way!!!

Nothing tastes as good as feeling thin.

Thank you, lambcoplewis. I usually weigh myself once a week, but will try weighing every morning, though I know the weight can fluctuate that way.

Although my ticket says I have lost '0' weight, I had actually lost 19lbs. This was due to knee surgery and the pain medication caused nausea and lack of appetite. Horrible at the time, but so happy now that that happened

Have put on a few pounds after my son's wedding a couple of weeks ago and had a 'rest week' from counting the calories for a week. Felt I deserved it, lol. I am confident I will lose those extra pounds, once I am motivated again.

Totally agree with what you say about people commenting if you put the weight back on. But as you have been maintaining for a year, you're not going to do that. You are doing really well :flowerforyou:

    Cheers :drinker:
