Which is better: Fitbit or Polar FT7?

My heart rate monitor is acting erratically (as should all $7 heart rate monitors after a while!) and I was wondering, which one is better:
Polar FT7 or FitBit? Which one is easier? I just need something to measure my heart rate accurately. I can convert the heart rate to calories manually if the need be. All feedback welcome! Please share with me your experiences!

    The FT7 has a chest strap, if you're using it for cardio, it would be better. Now if you're thinking of getting the Fitbit with hrm capabilities, probably could get a Loop A300 or M400 with H7 sensor for the same price. If it's just your heart rate your needing during exercise the Polar H7 sensor will work with most newer phones with the Polar beats app.
