I was watching my children eat lunch today and noticed they each eat string cheese differently.

This had me curious. How do you eat your string cheese? Do you peel back the layers or just bite of chunks until gone?

Peel it in as hair-like strands as possible...if I can issue self control.

I try to eat as slowly as reasonably possible, so that I consume less; in the time that it takes to signal that I am full. So I cut mine in half & then eat that half, in as many strands; as I can peel.

Peel it like a civilized being. I have a coworker that eats chunks and he appropriately lives in a city called Savage

I just bite it. No patience for stringing.

peel it. I heard it was to improve surface area and be able to enjoy the flavor better. I don't know if it is true but I like thinking of it like that

Peeling is the only proper way of eating string cheese. That is the whole point of it. Other wise just cut off a block of cheese and eat that.

Sometimes I chomp it, sometimes I pick it apart. Sometimes I start out peeling in, then chomp the rest!
