Where can I get the right calories for my food potions. I am getting different totals so I need a reliable source so the calorie counts are right.

Thank you, DeguelloTex, for taking the time out to answer my question. This is very good information.

I use that same site. It takes some getting used to, though. You have to learn how to use the search...and even then, it's not always great.

If you're buying packaged stuff that isn't there, you can get sometimes get some nutritional info from the company's website, too.

This is one of the first sites that show up when you google the nutrition of anything. I'm used to it, so it feels comfortable.

I am finding that website a little confusing. Dose anyone have another website that is easier to read? I do use what is on the packages but when you are making stuff from stretch it has no information.

Old Hobo is talking about nutritiondada. self. com
    You type in something like:
Avocado nutrition self and it shows up as the first link.
    Super easy to understand
    Thanks Charon,

I found it through a google search. Then discovered I could only get the info through a google search. If I tried to search from within the website it never worked. Then I registered, for free, and it got a lot easier. It's been some time and forgot about that part.

I don't own stock and am not promoting anything.

Do you mean you can't find nutritional info for things like ground beef or steak or red bell pepper... OR

Just wondering have you played much with the Recipe feature on the site? You can add each individual ingredient to your created recipe in the quantities you've used, and then specify a number of servings and save the recipe for future logging.

Use the recipe builder right on MFP. If things look off, just look them up on another website and adjust.
