Two questions
1) do nursing mom really have to consume extra calories for milk production of they are considered obese?
2) when eating exercise calories do those extra calories count as nursing calories or does one still need to eat the extra calories for nursing?

I nursed all three of my kids for 12-18 months. My nutritionist told me to eat around 2000 cals a day and I steadily lost eating at that calorie level. Having your calories to low will definitely effect your milk supply. My kids also never drank formula or from a bottle. Try eating 2000 cals and see if that works anything lower and you will probably be very hungry.0
