    MFP gives you a daily calorie goal
    Eat to that goal
    If you exercise, eat 50-75% of your exercise calories back

    Get used to logging your food, all of it. You will soon recognize what foods are high calorie. Limit your consumption of those foods. The very act of logging will make you more aware of how much you are eating.

    Get a food scale. If you eat whole foods, in the right portion and log every day you'll lose.
