I've been logging for 53 days (and lost 10lbs) but I woke up this morning feeling like I'm getting a cold. How do colds affect people's weight loss? I usually want to eat and eat when I'm feeling poorly.
Does anyone have any helpful suggestions for quicker recovery?

As the zinc lozenges formulation has been widely studied and there is a significant reduction in the duration of cold at a dose of ≥ 75 mg/day, for those considering using zinc it would be best to use it at this dose throughout the cold. Regarding prophylactic zinc supplementation, currently no firm recommendation can be made because of insufficient data. When using zinc lozenges (not as syrup or tablets) the likely benefit has to be balanced against side effects, notably a bad taste and nausea.

Maybe bump up your calories to maintain for a few days until you're feeling well again? That would allow you to eat a bit more, get the proper nutrition you need to become healthy again, and not gain weight.0

The cold itself shouldn't affect weight loss, but if you eat more calories, that will have an impact.0

When I'm sick, I eat whatever to make my body feel better/relieve the symptoms. Weigh and log as best you can and get well. Don't beat yourself up/feel guilty for eating something. The last bad cold I had, I ate Wheat Thins and Freeze Pops for 3 days.0
