Anybody else around the same height have any inspiration and/or weightloss stories?

Part of my problem is I am rather large chested, so I'm not sure what my final goal weight will be yet. I want to start incorporating strength training into my workouts which i was doing when i wasn't working as much. I work long days in construction so I would like to build up my strength but don't want to be so sore the next day I can't do anything at work.

I'm 5'4", so close! I've been as heavy as 178, at least that's the heaviest I've recorded. I started MFP at 163 though and kept mini goals: 150, 145, 140, 135. At 135 I tried to get to 130 and could barely make it so I maintain between 130-135.

Here's the thing, if you incorporate strength training which it seems like you plan to do, you may not need to lose as much weight as you think. The only reason I want to get to 125, is to be able to get lean enough to run a true bulk someday.

    Good luck!

Well I should say that I have fat to lose because pants size currently is between a size 10 and size 12. I carry most of my weight in my midsection. From what I remember from when I was smaller, a size 6 was good for me. Smaller than that I feel may be too skinny for my body type and my preference.

I mainly want to incorporate strength training so that I can keep my strength and build when I actually get to a size I am comfortable. Weight isn't a big thing to me. Size is because I just don't feel comfortable with where I am currently, even though I have lost a decent amount.

Thank you so much for replying and leaving some tips!

Yes! I understand. 125 is a good goal weight for 5'3", but as you said-sometimes it's not about the number on the scale.

So to explain myself a bit. I lost a good chunk of weight after having my baby three years ago, but now I am in a new job that is highly stressful, now I have gained the weight back plus some. My goal is to get down to 125 at the minimum.

I realize that a lot of my weight loss won't happen until I deploy at the end of this year, but at least I can get started and then finish strong.

I'm 5'3" and currently around 129-130lbs. I've lost 57lbs so far and I'm trying to get somewhere around 112-119lbs, depending on how I feel when I get to 119. Most of the weight came off 2 years ago and I've recently jumped back on my exercise bike in order to get to my original goal weight. I was content at 126 for a while but then gained some weight back when I moved in with my boyfriend in April.
