Looking for tips on weight loss with hypo active thyroid

I have had trouble with weight loss using normal dietary calorie limits. I follow suggested guidelines, work out cardio, strength train, and water aerobics. The only loss was three pounds in two weeks and that was fasting every other day.
Any tips from folks with same issue. I am on synthroid and am still off a bit on my dosage per my physician.

1. A heathy, sustainable loss is .5 lb. per week for every 25 lbs. you're overweight.
2. I have Hashimoto's (autoimmune thyroid disease). Thyroid meds (in my case, Synthroid & Cytomel) reduce the fatigue so I can be more active. But I still kept gaining until I learned to log everything I eat & drink accurately & honestly. Logging works.
I lost the weight long before my thyroid levels ever entered the "normal" range by following the advice in the Sexypants post: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/1080242/a-guide-to-get-you-started-on-your-path-to-sexypants/p10
