Getting close to GOAL!

Hi everyone,
I've been a lurker here far too long so I decided to sign up and post!
In grade school I was chubby. I lost a ton of weight in 8th grade walking and was between average or a little above average weight throughout high school and college. After I graduated and began working full-time jobs, my weight slow crept up until last year when I knew I had to do something.
I have been on my weight loss journey for a little over one year. In that time I have lost close to 70 lbs all on my own at home following no specific diet plan just watching what I eat and the portion sizes and working out 6 days per week. I spent a lot of time researching and trying different things out. Some things worked, other things didn't work but I have figured out what works for my body and now I'm in total control.
I strength-train 3 days per week and do light cardio about 4 - 5 days per week. Also I log of everything I eat, the amount of water I drink and the exercises I do daily.
Regarding my stats I'm in my mid-30's, close to 6ft tall and I weigh 185 lbs. That may sound like a lot, but I wear a size 9/10! Although I've never been caught up with the number on the scale, my original goal weight has always been around 170. However I'm very happy with my body right now - it's a mixture of a little visible muscle and lots of curves (based on my measurements). I'm not sure when I'm going to call it a goal since I still have 2 trouble spots I'm still working on. They will eventually go away, but in the meantime I'm going to keep doing what I'm doing.
Thanks for reading!

Hey Rainbow,
Thanks for sharing your story. It is motivating to hear about your slow but steady progress and being close to goal.
I think even after you reach goal it would be good to continue to log food and exercise since it is easy to revert to old habits and lose your gains. Congratulations on changing your life style, you are to be commended.0 -
Thanks NC! Yes I am going to continuing logging and doing what I am doing. Probably will up my calories a little, but I will continuing working out the same. This has been a lifestyle change for me. Thanks again for your post!0
