First day today!

Hi Everyone,
First day today back with MFP, after a 3 year hiatus. The positive is last time I logged on, I was living in Melbourne and weighing 5kg heavier than I do now - I'm now living in NZ and weighing around 78kg.
For my height (176cm) I carry my weight well, and I'm not overweight - but I do want to lose about 8kg and learn more about portion control and controlled eating. I'm still in the child-like phase where I mindlessly gorge on chocolate, chippies with wine and have a sedentry job.
Anyways, goal is to lose 8kg by the end of the year...
