For the first time in ten years, I'm sleeping without my CPAP machine! This is a Big Deal! Feels great!

Great news, you are fortunate. I lost 93 lbs and have kept it off for nearly 2 years. I had a sleep study after my weight loss and, unfortunately, I still require a CPAP. Happy for you.

Excellent. I can't wait to be in your position. 25 pounds to go. Easy :)

Very sorry about this. I was worried that would be the case for me too, but I seem to be ok. I haven't retaken a sleep study (and won't), but I'm breathing great at night, feeling great the next day. The wife say little to no snoring.

It's still a little tough to fall asleep, though. For ten years I have trained myself to never nod off without "the machine." It's a hard habit to break, but getting easier every day. Sleep quality is vastly improved.

It was a love/hate relationship. I had no idea how sleep deprived I was in the pre-CPAP days. The first morning after wearing The Machine I slept so well, and so hard that it almost hurt, lol. I had so much energy I was giddy.

It also sucks to never be able to go anywhere or do anything without the stupid thing. It's like having a big cannonball tied to your neck.

I too am tied to CPAP for now, but hope to be freed someday. You are an inspiration for me to keep trying so that I can be fee too. Good job.
