Slightly Terrified, but Ready for Change

Hello, I'm Cassie. I'm 22 and have been obese all of my life. Since I was about 13 I have always been around the 275 - 310 lbs range. My weight has always been a constant struggle, mainly because I'm scared to lose it and diet due my childhood/early teen years which I don't particularly enjoy getting into since I've been working on trying to put that behind me and heal from it over the past 7 years.

Losing weight is absolutely terrifying to me, I don't want to do it wrong or be made fun of or lose my sense of identity, but it is time to conquer that fear and lead a healthier lifestyle. My goal is to lose 100 lbs, to be in the lower 200 area over the next couple of years; however, my main goal is consistency. I've been using MyFitnessPal on and off again over the past few months but I'm determined to use it more often. I've always had a bad habit of eating and exercising inconsistently. I lead a busy lifestyle so finding time to do those things is hard, but I am tired of excuses and I want to be healthy.

If anyone has any helpful tips, recipes (I love to cook!), or encouragement it is much welcomed! I use pinterest to keep tabs on recipes and work out videos on youtube I enjoy so if you guys have some boards for me to follow that would also be wonderful.

Thank you for reading!
