Shakeology isn't such a bad thing. I really found it helped me get off to a good start and control calories and still train hard.

    I am not a coach.

In fact, when you run out, try GNC lean shake burn...about half price and higher protien.

Get a mini blender, it tastes way better when you whip the ice up until it is frothy. I use unsweetened almond or coconut milk.

My protein get some impact whey protein for 14 pounds and enjoy.

As for recopies I like to add fruit and seed/nuts and some greens like spinach to my shakes. I normally add some BCAA pre and post work out. I would the shakes to a balanced diet but if you add the fruit nuts you will get a highly nutritional shake make sure you log the calories. Oh I blend my shakes that's why I add the solids.

All the best with your weight loss.

My advice on the product? Save your money. It's an MLM scam.

And don't be surprised if you get PMs from people telling you how wonderful it is, because ulterior motives. ;)

I dont think that is very fair or nice to jump all over this person for their decision to try something that maybe is not for everyone. We are all unique and what works for one person may not work for another but isnt that ones personal preference?
Knowledge is power, educate yourself on what you think is best for YOU, NOT what other people deem appropriate for YOU.

Um, where, exactly did I "jump all over this person?" Informing them that the product they are about to start is highly overpriced garbage is doing them a favour.

And yes, there are lots of people who troll this site looking for fresh meat to sell this kind of crap to. It happens all the time. The PMs are, "Oh I *love* <inset name of scam here,> too!! I've sent you a friend request!!!

You defending this MLM scheme product makes me wonder why you would take such offence to people giving her a legitimate heads up.

Its actually because I am a successful coach who has been drinking Shakeology for over 2 years. and again, I understand that people have thier own opinions and i GET that its not for everyone. But isnt that up to the individual to decide that for themselves?
Its true that NEW coaches are on this site and talk to people about the programs and products and you will also see that there are PLENTY of people who use them.
Like I said before, knowledge is power and its up to the individual to research and investigate for themselves to determine what is right for them. Just like I would never put down something that you are into or enjoy eating/drinking.
    To each his own.

    It's still snake oil!! SMH

Thank you to all for your advice.
I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinions :p

A lot of people down Shakeology all the time. Personally I like it better than most everything else. When you actually look at it it is not just a protein powder. It has more other nutrients than pretty much everything else. If you can afford it I say enjoy. If you can't use something else. I tried the other protein stuff before I went to Shakeology and it worked better for me.

Unless your plan involves drinking a significant number of your meals for the rest of your life (wine, gin, and margaritas notwithstanding--them's are perfect meal replacements), Shakeology, or any other meal replacement, isn't really a healthy and sustainable change. As such, you're unlikely to find much love for it, aside from those with a vested interest, around here.

Tastes good if you add fruit and milk to it, OVER PRICED at 129 a bag. not necessary to spend that much on a protein shake and it comes with constantly being harassed by nutrition coaches (which anyone can become one)to buy more of their products. Sun warrior has a great protein shake that is just as good sold on amazon for a quarter of the price of the shakeology.

I do not sell any mlm and never have. However, I find it ridiculous that many people here assume that no product sold thru mlm can be useful, that all such products are 'snake oil', that anyone who both uses and sells a product is a scam artist, that only people who are against a product are educating others, etc. Give it a rest, ok?

When you actually look at what? Their claims about "cleansing" and "energy?" They're full of the same fillers and crap that every other powder claiming to give you a boost is....and the FDA doesn't regulate supplements, so you can only *hope* it has what it says.

My food has more nutrients than Shakeology, any day.

People can like whatever they wish, but I will say this about Shakeology. It's funny how some of the claims are how it has so many nutrients you'd have to eat an entire head of lettuce, 5 cups of blueberries, etc. just to intake the same amount of nutrients from it and how it has many fruit and vegetable servings in it, it gives you energy, improves digestion etc. If that is so, then how come Beachbody just released Shakeology "boosts" where one of them is a greens booster, one is a digestion booster and another is an energy booster? Surely you wouldn't need an extra serving of greens, an additional digestion boost or an additional energy boost added to a drink that already claims to provide you with all of that, right? I wish people would use logic on that site and question that. They'll just tell people "Shakeology works for MOST people, but YOUR body is ~*special*~ and needs the extra boost!" instead of being honest with people and saying "Hey, Shakeology is no different than other powders. Shakeology isn't working miracles for you because it can't and you're probably not seeing the results you want because you're not putting in enough effort and/or taking in more calories than you burn."

Shakeology is over priced protien powder. Its a mlm scam... SNAKE OIL....( this is a public forum so all opinions are welcomed)

Anyone can be a coach, there's nothing special about it.

Its junk and again I'll say, you can find better quality protein powder at your local store.

Haha, that's my point; there's no honesty with these coaches. They'll just brainwash people into thinking that something is wrong with their bodies using words like "toxins", "resetting metabolism", and other nonsense in order to sell their crappy product(s). You would think that some of the people on the site that blindly follow Beachbody would ask themselves "Why do I need this boost when Shakeology already claims to do this?". Instead they see the shiny new product and think they have to have it to accelerate their results, drinking the Beachbody Kool-Aid. The sad part is that most of us here know these things, but others blindly eat it up instead of admitting to themselves that they're not doing what they should be doing to actually lose weight and they're looking to hold anything accountable instead of their own actions.

When you look at the vitamins and such. Can think what you want. I personally don't push anyone to buy it. I just let them know that for me it does tend to help. And yea they talk about a cleanse with it but it is not a big pushing point unless someone is making it out to be. As for energy, I don't know. Possibly it gives a bit just because you are getting a better bit of stuff with it. It isn't something you drink for every meal. I actually either use it for lunch when I am driving for work or just as a snack during the day. I used whey protein prior to it. I personally like shakeology better and yes I felt better using it than I did using just whey protein. I still eat real food as well. If someone can afford it I say it is worth it. If they can't then no they shouldn't buy it and I am not going to push them to. I am not just going to turn them away though either and will continue to try to help them without berating what they choose to do.
