Si injuries.

This morning I was squatting and somehow ending up in excruciating pain. Went to the Dr and was told I aggregated my si joint and that I will be in serious pain for several days. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what the outcome was ?

SI joint injuries suck. i had an incident back at the beginning of May deadlifting (caused by a now known muscle imbalance not form) that majorly destabilized my SI joints again - I was on bed rest with my youngest due to instability in them. I'm not back to 100% yet, not even close. I'm pretty good through most of day to day life, but am massively backed off on squats and deadlifts because I just can't at least without pain.
Now, Physio has diagnosed me with an underlying muscle imbalance and we are working on correcting it. I have zero doubt I'll be back to squatting and deadlifting again but we are taking our time. The goal is to correct the muscle imbalance before even thinking about reloading.
For you, I'd be willing to bet you got hurt through some combination of bad form and an underlying imbalance, and would recommend seeing a Physio or physical therapist to make sure of what's going on.0
