How does this happen?

I have gained 5 lbs. in three days. This is what it looked like with maintenance marked and one binge marked. I feel pretty disappointed in myself. I probably ate 3500 calories OVER. But, that should not equate five pounds. How did this happen and turn into five?

Where are you in your menstrual cycle? Not only do I gain right before my period, I gain at ovulation as well.

Just get back on track, drink lots of water, and it will come down pretty quickly

Still may be the case....I start gaining around 10 days before....then it doesn't come off until 3 or 4 days afterwards. I usually gain between 5 - 10 lbs. :(

Of course it comes right off afterwards....but it's still annoying every month.

I am at my biggest 12 to 7 days before my period, due to progesterone. Pretty normal.

I've had some whopping weight gains from maintenance calories too, it's normal, it will go back down again.
