I am going to pick some up in the morning to have on hand for cereal. Problem is I don't know which one to get there are many flavors. I want one similar to dairy milk. Any suggestions or will I just have to try them all?

I have only made my own. I wish I could tell you brands that are good. The only thing is it might be more comparable to fat free milk than anything; at least that is my experience when I drank what I made (2 cups water to 1 cup almonds)
Just make sure you get a flavored one. Unflavor can be trying.0 -
Awesome that's exactly what I needed to know. Thank you!! Im gonna have to research making my own now ;-)0

I like unsweetened vanilla by blue diamond. There's an almond/coconut milk by blue diamond that has a lovely hint of coconut that's just so yummy. You'll want to check your packages because the sweetened stuff is just loaded with sugar.0

I also like the unsweetened one as well. It is slightly sweet and not cloyingly sweet like the sweetened almond milk.0 -
Unsweetened Vanilla by Blue Diamond or the almond coconut blend unsweetened by Silk ate my favorites0

Okay thanks all for those suggestions. I know for sure they have Blue Diamond brand so I'll try one of those and make sure its unsweetened. Thanks again!0

Be prepared. .. None of the milk substitutes taste like cows milk0

Unsweetened vanilla blue diamond. Whole Foods unsweetened vanilla is super tasty too, if you are ever near one.0

unsweetened unflavoured, it tastes exactly as skimmed milk to me
the only problem is that they both taste of ... nothing!
but for me it is really good with cereals, not over sweet or "cowy", and I enjoy the flavours from the cereals0 -
None of them are at all similar to dairy milk. I just get the plain, unsweetened, unflavored kind. Has a milk taste of almonds, and if I want it sweeter I can sweeten it myself. It would undoubtedly taste better if home-made, though somewhat expensive and higher in calories (more almonds per cup than commercial, so that would be both tastier and higher calorie).0

I find almond milk nasty in cereal. Sorry. I only use it in shakes and oatmeal.0

Unsweetened vanilla by Silk or Blue Diamond is great, and only 30 cals/240 ml serving. I tend to prefer buying Blue Diamond, as it is a smidge cheaper at my grocery. It's great added to coffee, with cereal, etc.
ETA: also great with protein shakes, oatmeal.. So much. Very versatile.0 -
Unsweetened Vanilla is what I usually get. I'm not picky on brands, since they all taste the same too me. Most of the time though I get Friendly Farms, because I shop at Aldi's and it's $2.29 there (compared to right around or slightly over $3 at walmart). The regular unsweetened has a slight almond flavor, but isn't bad either. They don't taste like cows milk to me, but I like them for the lower calorie count. The vanilla flavor is great for coffee, cereal, recipes, etc.0

If you want it similar to milk, don't get unsweetened. Get one marked 'original'. Milk has quite a bit of sugar so the unsweetened tastes pretty bland in comparison. The difference isn't as noticable on cereal to me, but plain it is very plain.0

I always go for the unsweetened original myself. As a matter of personal taste, you may want to try them all in turn to see which you like the best. Then try cow's milk again if you want. After almond milk for a while it is ridiculously sweet.0

I personally love the Blue Diamond Almond Breeze 60 calorie original. They also have 30 and 90 calorie, but I find the 30 one too watery and the 90 one too thick.0
