Swimming: Get fit and toned

I used to train for and run half marathons until my knees stared to object to the pounding they received so I decided to take up swimming instead (together with some gym work).
The problem is that I need a structured programme to stop me getting bored and that's when I discovered 'Swimfit'. I am currently doing the 'Shape up and tone' programme which is a 32 session programme designed to get you fitter and toned. Alternatively, you can opt for a challenge of swimming the equivalent length of a lake, for example, over a period of time and at your own pace.
If, like me you are looking for a fitness regime that is kind to your joints then you may be interested in this programme which can be found at swimming.org/swimfit
