Muscle burns more than fat?

Hi Guys
I stumbled on this link recently
http://www.aworkoutroutine.com/does-building-muscle-burn-fat/
I've always been led to believe that muscle burns more than fat, significantly more. According to that link, 1lb of muscle burns 6 calories, compared to 2 calories burned by fat ( If I understand correctly).
Is this right? The article says that its 6 calories at rest, what about during physical activity?
Interested in hearing your thoughts. It goes against everything I've been told in the past...
Thanks

Yes, it does... but the difference isn't as significant as many people would like to believe. Marketers and sales people would have you believe that building muscle is the holy grail of metabolism increases, but that's just not the case.0
