Ok Everything says "eat in moderation" and "eat your vegetables" is there such thing as eating TOO many vegetables?
Like today when I was measuring out my lunch i weighed enough Spinach for a whole serving and measured California vegetables a full serving. Plus I do this at supper most of the time....But i don't want to over eat lol....

I don't measure "most" vegetables........ but there are a few to watch out for. As long as you know which veggies pack a lot of calories you're OK.
IMO it doesn't matter if you have spinach plus california vegetables (I'm guessing broc/caulif/carrots) ...... the highest calorie thing there are the carrots ...... the spinach is negligible.
Now, if you are eating so many low calorie veggies that you don't have room for protein & fats .... that's a different story.0 -
Thank You. I Usually eat chicken or Fish most meals with the vegetables among other things lol. But Just wanted other opinions. Most of the time I do Broccoli Stir fry vegeteabls. I try to not eat too too much corn, peas or carrots...I eat them but not as much as i eat everything else.0

According to the food guide pyramid, the bulk of your carbs (and total calories) should come from grains, but I eat most of my carbs in the form of veggies, like you. I, personally, feel better when I eat this way, as opposed to eating more grains, and I don't see anything wrong with it, as long as you're still consuming other carb sources, and balancing your carbs with protein and fat.
But, to answer your question, I don't think anything is wrong with eating more veggies than recommended, or getting the bulk of your carbs and total calories from vegetables, or that you can eat "too many" vegetables. There will, eventually, be a limit to how much you can eat because too much fiber can strain your digestive system, but that takes an obscene amount of veggies.0 -
I don't believe you can have "too many vegetables" but I do think you can have "too many of one kind of vegetable". Your body requires a large range of vitamins and minerals (micronutrients) and you only get certain ones from each food. Making sure you have a varied diet of vegetables is what's key.
I do not eat any meat or dairy but still hit all of my macro and micro nutrient needs because I eat a vast array of grains, nuts, seeds, vegetables and fruits. Just keep the variety up and you should be good to go!0 -

This sounds right, except whether you can have "too many of one kind of vegetable" probably needs some context.
As in:
(A) 1 lb of broccoli.
(B) 0.5 lb of broccoli.
(C) 0.5 lb of broccoli and 0.5 lb of carrots.
(D) 10 lbs of broccoli.
Given those options...
(A) is probably better than (B) because broccoli is awesome and you never have too much of it. (D) is probably pretty good too.
(C) is probably best.0 -
^^^ I agree with this. Thanks for helping to clarify!0
