Depression & Dieting: What A Cocktail

I weigh 261 pounds and am 20 years old. I should be wearing bikinis at the beach with friends, riding bikes with a boyfriend, and feel comfortable sitting in a desk at my university, but I don't. I knew something was wrong when I started to feel numb, lose interest in athletic clubs I once cherished, and cut ties with friends because of a constant internal battle of asking myself if I "fit in" to this picture. I ate. I ate in front of the TV. I ate at night. Once I had my own car, I started becoming a regular at drive thrus and a stranger at the gym. I would eat whole pies, half a dozen donuts, and would follow it up with a crying fit on the bathroom floor of why I was doing this to myself. Well I'm done with that now. I am taking a semester off from school to attend the University of Kalombiana. Where the curriculum is all about me. Getting my mind right. My body right. And feeling better about myself. This is my journey. The goal is to be 100 pounds lighter and to feel 100x better. Let's do this.
