Trying to lose 20 lbs (145 lbs to 125 lbs. 5'9).

Hey!
Any advice on how to lose 20 lbs? I don't really like exercising, so I'm going to mainly stick with "the food". I have Celiac Disease and I eat dairy free food too (lactose intolerant), which makes me eat less (I've just discovered them). Do you think that this will help in my weight loss journey?

You'd lose that weight the same way everyone else loses weight - diet and exercise.
Be sure, before you go that low, that it's a healthy weight for you. It's near the bottom on the BMI chart, which might be too thin for some people.

Going by the limited information you've given us I've run your height and goal weight through a BMI calculator and it would give you a BMI of 18.5 which puts you right on the borderline of underweight. Of course bmi isn't always exact and it's down to the individual, but I'd be very wary of being on that boundary.
Have you had a look at recomposition threads on this forum? Your weight at the moment is in the healthy bmi range anyway. I know youve mentioned you don't like exercise but if you're not happy with how you look at the moment maybe body recomposition is the way forward here? and may have the result of you being both happier and healthier!

And also this! As long as you eat at a deficit (so stick to the calories MFP gives you depending on your weekly goals) you'll lose weight. Somewhere between. . 5-1 lb a week would probably be a good goal for the weight you are at the moment and the amount you have to lose0 -

Do you realize that 125 pounds at your height is underweight according to dexmedia.co/this chart? In fact, you are in a healthy weight range right now.
I know you said you don't like exercise, but I'd suggest body recomp with weight lifting. A lot of people who don't like exercise end up liking weight lifting.0 -

Not everybody loses weight through diet and exercise, because some people don't like/can't exercise. Besides this, exercise is not required for weight loss.
Yes, I love to exercise and advocate eating less and moving more, but that's just not how it is for everyone.
