I accept that I didn't put it on fast and it won't come off fast.

Calorie deficit=weight loss, exercise=fitness. And forget about fast unless you're willing to lose muscle.

I don't know about losing weight fast.. you should aim for 1-2 lbs/week.

But, I workout at home and use the 21 Day Fix DVDs, some yoga and pilates DVDs, plus I run, hike, and kayak when the weather permits. Autumn Calabrese has some great workouts on YouTube as well. The Nike Training app is really good too!

Calories in vs. calories out. It only helps to exercise if it's adding to your deficit.

Set a realistic goal. How much are you trying to lose?
  • I exercise at home, but I do it more for my health and less for the calorie burn. I literally just dance around my living room and throw in squats and aerobic moves I have learned over the years and use hand weights. I go by the beat in my music, so you could say I do intervals. I may go from a decent pace of walking in place to jogging or running in place while raising and lowering my hands over my head or doing jumping jacks until the more upbeat part (generally chorus) of the song is over. You can break it up with things like burpees, pushups, jumping jacks, etc.

I'm not an expert; this is just what I do because it's free, private, and I can let loose and dance around and have fun with it.

Something like Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD would be what you're looking for.

    Define fast?

How much are you trying to lose. Half a pound per 25 pounds overweight is the guideline I hear.

I don't think you can have a proper diet and lose fast. Losing fast involves creating a large deficit. Too large a deficit and you not getting enough nutrition. Correct me if I'm wrong here MFPeeps

There is no "fast". You'll lose weight from a caloric deficit. Exercise is for health and helps the deficit.

I'm also doing the 21 day fix and wonder if the calorie intake is too low on protein according to the containers the protein is a 1/3 cup 4 times a day for 1200 -1499 calorie intake I thought it would be the size of a small chicken breast but it's actually only about half of that.

21 day fix is overpriced bunk. What happens on day 22? Just learn to eat in a deficit.
