How to get a flat tummy?

I've had a pudgy belly since I was 5. I don't think genetics will naturally slim out my belly when I lose weight because of my body type. I have a feminine pear/hourglass shape but I'm also kind of apple shaped because of my belly. That's where I have a lot of body fat and gain the easiest there. I look like I'm pregnant all the time and that's not okay, it needs to at least not stick out past my boobs, that would be nice. Along with cardio, will sit ups and crunches help?

Nah crunches and sit ups will waste your energy, keep eating at a deficit whether through diet or exercise and it will come off, even if it is last.0

Get your body fat down to 20%. I've never met or trained any female that got down to that percentage and NOT have a flat belly.

@ninerbuff Right now it's 42.6%. If I got down to 120 lbs which would be 20% for my height, that may be too thin for my body type, I may look awkward. I was planning on having my goal weight be like 160.0

Start at the beginning--you don't have to read every page, but the first page is incredibly informative.
