Hi. I'm Kate and I live in the UK. I'm looking for people to be friends on MFP so we can help each other. Those 'likes' really help me stay on track!!
I'm 41 and currently my biggest weight EVER. But I'm doing something about it and I know it will work. About 2 years ago I joined MFP with some friends from work. We all lost over a stone. I lost 22 pounds and ran a half marathon. The daily check-ins with each other online really helped keep us all going. But one by one they stopped using MFP and I moved jobs so I don't see them everyday. A tough year at my new work, stress eating and stopping running, and I'm bigger than ever.
But no more. I'm back on it and have lost 5 pounds so far. My knees hurt running, so I'm walking and cycling more. I wear a FitBit every day and track steps. My husband is our family cook and he's brilliant. I just need to stop eating the extras and binging when I'm stressed!
So that's me. I'm new to the community so not sure how it works. All hints and tips on that very welcome. I'd love a few new friends for mutual support.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
