Recording in pounds and oz....

I like to record my weight to the oz but get really annoyed when apps that only have 10 oz to the pound! Why is this? I record my weight daily in Runkeeper as it links to MFP but always have to multiple my oz's by 0.71 because it only gives you a max of 0.9 of a pound! The true weight app is the same!

Does anyone else do this?

It's doing it by decimal pounds. So if you weigh 150 lbs and 8 oz, that would be 150.5 lbs.

Why do you prefer ounces instead of tenths of a pound? An ounce is .0625 lbs. The difference between .1 and .0625 is very small when you're discussing a 100+ lb. person.

I've never seen a bodyweight scale that measured in ounces.

Just convert your oz to the decimal. The apps aren't giving you only 10oz, they're giving you a decimal place for the lbs.

Wait, is that what you meant, OP? You're reading 145.8 as 145 and 8 ounces?
