Carb discounting - Has anyone else tried this?

It isn't my usual thing but I was pressed for time and out of chicken breast for lunch so I took a Lean Cuisine Spinach & Mushroom pizza for lunch with some broccoli. It's terribly high in Carbs so I cut the pizza in half, scraped all the toppings off one half onto the other half and threw the empty crust out. But that leaves me with HOW do I log that? I do this a lot with pizza and normally I don't bother and leave my diary as is, but it bugged me today.
So I created my own food with a -10 for carbs. I was so happy it worked!! I realize it's a guesstimate but still it's a little closer to realistic carb counting.
