Hello, time to chat!

Hi! I'm Kelly. I've been using MFP now for over a month and have lost about 9 pounds. I am SO glad I chose to do this rather than pay for a dieting service like nutrisystem, or an expensive nutritionist (both options I had seriously considered). As a teacher with time on my hands during the summer I wanted to begin a system that could help me reduce my excess weight - I was hoping to get familiar with the program and use it as I entered the school year with a base to start from. MFP was perfect for my needs. It's been relatively easy for me to get used to the program, and although time consuming in some ways, the meals and recipe options make it easier to find shortcuts for recording what I eat. I hope I can keep it up this school year when time is of the essence, and it's super tempting to eat out. Would love to learn more about using this program, and so I decided to jump in on the forum for moral support as well as learning!
