How to get...

So have set a daily goal of 2000 calories for myself. MFP has my setting at 2,430. I tend to go over by about 300 per day (about 2,300). I am trying to stop this. So going over is not bad but a trend I want to stop.

How do I get my brain to tell my stomach that it has had enough food and stop feeling hungry.

For example I had a double cheese burger for dinner last night. I know that it was enough food for me. However I still felt hungry.

At home it is easy to overcome that felling but I work 10 hour days and my resolve crumbles towards the end of my shift.

Any advice... anything that worked for you..

Drinking lots of water or zero calorie drinks helped me in the beginning. Your body/brain do catch up after a while.

I find that if I'm eating enough food & calories every day, I don't have that problem. Perhaps 2,000 is just not enough. Mfp already gives you a deficit, so maybe try eating at the mfp setting for a while?

Make sure the food you are eating is nutritious. I'm hungrier when I eat junk food than when I eat real food. I'm sure it is because my body is still waiting for me to feed it what it actually needs. I also like to bulk up my meals will low calorie foods, like vegetable. I usually have 2-3 vegetable sides with my dinner. It is easier not to overeat when I fill up on that.

Also, just sticking with it for a while helps. Your stomach will eventually shrink down and it won't be so hard to fill it.
