6lbs lost!

I am loving myfitness pal. New to it, and in less than a week, have lost 6lbs already. Having done every diet under the sun, lost & gained again, I am finding the method of counting down calories instead of adding them up, very helpful and motivating. Having battled depression over the years, partly due to body image. Iam very encouraged.

    (I'm sure I'm going to catch crap from this.. but) GOOD JOB!!!! I'm about a week into using this site and I too love it and has done more for me than any other "diet" or program. Keep up the good work and stay positive, any amount of weekly loss is a huge accomplishment!!

    6lbs is awesome, but, don't be discouraged when you only lose 1 or 2 next week. The first week is usually water weight, once you flush that out of your system you should lose 1 to 1.5 per week which is a healthy amount to lose. I would be over the moon to lose 1 to 1.5/week but I'm happy with any loss to say the least. Good job, stay positive and you will be successful.
