I am currently 83 lbs over weight. My initial goal is to get to 170 lbs. It seems daunting though. The lowest I've gotten to in years is 198lbs and I ate 450 calories a day for 3 weeks to get there and exercised 80 minutes a day. I usually am around 210. I have no idea how at the slow pace I'm going at 1-2 pounds a week that I can stick with this long enough to get there. I need to see results and I'm really not.what should I do.

Be patient and never to that (450 cals) to your body again. The loss will happen! Remember slow and steady wins the race.
For me adding friends and checking the community has helped me to get motivated! Good luck!

Be patient with yourself. It took you a long time to get to the weight you are now and it will take a while to take it off again. One to two pounds a week may seem really slow, but it's the healthy way to lose weight, as well as the safest and most long-lasting.

Perhaps, you should consider focusing on non-scale victories for a while, rather than just your weight?

Remember this takes time. You need to take each day as it comes and get it. The minimum calories for a male should be 1500 a day, as you want your body to get the proper nutrients it needs. Move more and eat less and you'll lose in no time. Good luck!

1-2 lbs a week is a great pace!
