Looking to order some books on Amazon, and want to get some to help with my weight loss/ fitness journey. Im really looking to understand this journey better, and believe knowledge is power. Any titles you could recommend? Also interested in motivational books on the health/ weight loss.
PS- I am a complete newbie to all of this, so the easier to understand the better!
Thank you in advance!

I really enjoyed Joe Manganiello's book, "Evolution." It's the most recent one I've read. Found the nutrition and fitness information helpful. It worked for him!0

Thanks Psychgrrl! I googled it, and that will be worth the money just for pics, lol. Woooow. Great reviews too! Thanks for the tip! ☺0 -
If you're a beginner, I highly recommend "the Diet Fix: why diets fail and how to make yours work". It dispels a lot of dieting myths and provides guidelines for figuring out what will really work for you. I read it last summer and I've lost over 30 pounds this year.0

"Health at Every Size" by Linda Bacon, helped me rethink my thoughts about myself and my relationship with food. The book talks a lot about the psychological side of weight and weight-loss. It was most definitely the most helpful thing I read. Because knowing what to do isn't going to get you very far without some kind of acceptance of who you are now and some knowledge of the whys you do the things you do.
I'd, also, suggest the articles on the Eat to Perform website. I'm not a member, but, I read all of the articles. They really stress a healthy relationship with food and your body.0 -

Free articles for you to read from Lyle McDonald, who has several books and programs available.

I'd start with a solid foundation of the general consensus of nutrition experts, by reading a college nutrition textbook. That way you can better assess the claims & opinions made in other books, like those mentioned above. You can buy used textbooks on Ebay, Amazon, colleges, etc. Make sure it's not too old.
Next best thing would be dumbed-down versions of textbooks, like "Nutrition For Dummies" or "Clinical Nutrition For Dummies". There's also "Eating Clean For Dummies", which is pretty well rated on Amazon.0 -
CSIRO total wellbeing diet books one and two. Teach you all about nutrition and how to lose weight based on the latest science. Also had tons of recipes, shopping guides and exercise regimes you can do without expensive equipment. Even if you don't plan on following their diet, it's a really good set of books to trawl for good ideas and sensible weight loss advice.0
