Need food tips!

I'm looking to gain 20-25 pounds by the end of the year and I am extremely active and consider myself fit. I have trouble gaining weight, and I believe it is because I don't know what to eat in order to. Anyone have any tips I could use?

    I give my daughter stuff like avocado pear and add ground almond to baking etc.

    @raeheiden I weigh 145, I am 6 feet tall, and I consider myself fairly active. I make an effort to go to the gym 3 to 6 times a week and I really enjoy working out. Unfortunately I don't know what to eat to gain weight. I've been following this app and it tells me to eat about 36 hundred calories a day, but I don't know what foods to have to achieve that.

    High calorie processed foods (pizza, pasta, fried anything), rice, avocado, meat (!) and fatty fish. If all else fails: meal replacement bars as an extra snack are your friend, and liquid calories. Chocolate milk is a lifesaver for me! Good luck!
