how do I delete friends who are now an "invalid user" when I clock on their profile. I have 4 who have been offline for more than 2 months.

You should be able to click on the X symbol at the corner of their icon. ( depending on which platform your on) on my android app, it gives me the option to delete right next to where it says " send message " " view diary "

I haven't done this, so it might not work, but if you go to your Friends page at http://www.myfitnesspal.com/friends/list/ does it delete them if you click the x?

Thanks both, I don't have that option at all. It just gives me a pop up screen with "invalid user" and no other choice but to go back to my friends list.

Try deleting it right from the friends list? Or you can go on the web version and do it that way from the friends list.
