Pumpkin Angel Food Cake - AWESOME

Pumpkin Angel Food Cake
1 box Angel food cake mix (Betty Crocker)
1 can Pumpkin puree
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
Oven at 350

Dump the cake mix in a bowl and mix in the pumpkin pie spice whisk together.
Add the whole can of pumpkin - NO WATER
Whisk cake mix and pumpkin together.
Pour into desired pan and bake according to box directions.
Because the pumpkin is a little thick the cake will be a little dense so it doesn't rise as high as an angel food cake usually does.

the 15 oz can....I made the cake in a tube pan and cut it into 14 slices

You can do that with any kind of box mix actually, and I've done it as muffins... I do add one tablespoon of water though, to lighten it up a bit. And it was the small can of pumpkin.

So good. My favorite was with carrot cake mix.

I did this when I saw Hungry Girl do it with a box of devils food mix and pumpkin to make "brownies". Yummy. Tried it also with apple cinnamon mix and spice cake mix. I make mine in cupcake pans.

It's less pumpkin (1/2 can)...then you add water. This is a much lighter (texture) version.

I LOVE the carrot cake mix Francl27 mentions.... (+ 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon)......the texture is less spongy, more like cake.

a can of pumpkin and a box of spice cake mix makes great muffins. I love the devils food cake and a can of diet coke recipe too.

There are some sugar free cake mixes. But, you definitely won't have many flavors to choose from. Look for Pillsbury & Betty Crocker.

I've done it with SF cake mix (yellow cake) and pumpkin. I also added a little water just to make the batter less thick. It's delicious!

That's the whole recipe, 1 can of diet coke and 1 box of devils food or any type of chocolate cake mix. Dump the cake mix in a bowl, open a can of soda and pour it in, mix. Pour into muffin pan (I use the paper liners) and bake using the directions on the box for cupcakes. They are very tasty, and the only calories they have come from the cake mix.

You can use any type of diet soda with any type of cake mix. Sprite with vanilla cake mix is good too. Diet cherry coke with chocolate cake is another good one.

I do the pumpkin plus box of cake mix, but I never heard of the diet soda. I'm in!

For the pumpkin I use the white cake mix and add a 15oz can of pumpkin and a tbs of pumpkin pie spice.
