It's the crappy starter band before the real performance. It has potential.0

I watched and thought.. Meh0

I liked the tweaker.0

It's not going to be as action-packed as TWD. They've been saying all along that it's about the start of the walker plague, so it's going to go a lot slower, with walkers just starting to spread their contagion and no one knowing what's going on. As it spreads exponentially, I'm sure we'll see a lot more action and walkers. I like that we're seeing some character development.0

Finally got around to watching it with the fam today. Not hooked, not finding any sympathy or likability in any of the characters so far - mostly I just wanted to punch them all in the face at one point or another (especially the mom!). But I realize they have to set things up, and of course there is no knowledge of what's to come for them, and we're all 5 seasons into this zombie apocalypse, so they have a lot of learning to do....
But TWD hooked me right from the get go, this not so much. I'll give it another chance, have to see where it goes from here I suppose.0 -
tonight's episode was mush better or at least i think so ...its finally starting to pick up some speed and hopefully will still watch and give it a chance plus it dont matter if you watch or not it already got renewed for a 2nd season lol and that was even before it came out but like i said so far so go only thing tht is annoying me is that this is set in LA and we all know its nice there year rond so why the fudge are they wearing long sleaves and heavy coats it just dont make sence lol also i yelled at my tv while watching one part not going to spoil it but it was when someone was trying to kill a walker i was like you gotta kill the brain duh lol0

I agree, last night's was a little better. And I agree about the jackets - especially when the mom is in a jacket, her boyfriend is in long sleeves, and the neighbors across the street are all out in shorts and tank tops....but whatever, I'm nitpicky about that stuff!
So far Tobias is my favorite character - I hope he makes it and we see more of him, but who knows.0 -
My 12year old son got me involved in the zombie movies, "The Walking Dead", now, "Fear the Walking Dead". The first premier always starts slow, but after last nights episode, I'm eager for next weeks. Really gets you interested.0

I also liked last night's episode better. Much more tension, which is kind of impressive considering you really only get a good look a two walkers. The human conflict and disintegration of society is going to keep me on the edge of my seat as much as hand-to-hand combat with zombies.0

I really like it.0

I watched both episodes. I didn't care for the pilot. Last's night's episode was an improvement. Plotwise, I wish the series began even further back in time so we could see the very first infections, symptoms, etc. Unless if there is a flashback, I think the writers missed the boat on showing us the beginning of it all. They just kinda skipped the initial infections and went straight to a few walkers hitting the streets. The dad seems to be miscast. I wish they got a more likeable actor to play the role. The kid is also miscast, but he seems to be able to grow on you. I'm looking forward to the rest of the reason and I don't have high expectations. This is merely an appetizer leading up to the next entree of walking dead.0

yea i agree it's something to wet our whistle till our much loved dead comes back on but were getting there everyday is one day sooner lol ....our right the ppl grow on you after a while but i just wanna smack the sister its like damn dont you listen if the bother didnt stop her from leaving she would probably be a walker now .....i guess we can call her the new carl cuz she dont listen lol ...hopefully we do get some flash blacks those are always nice0

Fear the Walking Dead season 1, episode 2: The show moves as slowly as its zombies — and it works
This is the way the world ends — with a bang and a whimper.
Most stories of the apocalypse skip us quickly past the early stages, where the worst could have been averted. There's good reason for this. The really interesting stuff usually involves how the characters survive, or what happens when society begins to rebuild.
Because it's a TV show, though, Fear the Walking Dead is taking its time. In my early review of the season, I called this a "slow-pocalypse," and "So Close, Yet So Far," the show's second episode, underlines this approach.
The episode has its bigger sequences — especially a protest against police treatment of a homeless man (who was, presumably, a turned zombie) — but it's mostly a very quiet episode about people realizing the world is going to hell all around them.
Still, the signs of imminent collapse are many. Here are five ways to know the world is ending, courtesy of TV's slowest apocalypse.
