How many of you separate the days for example push day, pull day, and leg day? If, so does it work better that way?

    Yes

    Exactly that

Those muscles work together so it makes a convenient split

Thanks, I started separating them yesterday did push day and did 4 sets of 10, is that too little or too much?

A push pull is generally also combined with legs to make a three day or three workout split. It's usually a more intermediate to advanced lifting split as you're looking at several sets for each muscle group. As in multiple sets for chest, multiple sets for shoulders, and multiple sets for triceps on push day.

So, do you mean you did 4 sets of 10 with some type of bench press, then 4 sets of 10 with some type of shoulder press, then 4 sets of 10 triceps? If so, it's probably a bit much. If you're just talking about 4 sets of 10 across all three of those muscle groups, then it would be too little.

I could go on quite a bit, but here's a source that I think explains the different splits very well: link

Was that the entirety of the workout?
