Anyone doing the 5:2?

hi all, I'm currently using mfp to monitor my calorie intake on the fasting diet, 5:2.

Is anyone else using fasting to lose weight? How's it going for you? I'm on week one!

    I am assuming you fast two days a week and eat the other 5. Fasting two days a week is very good for you unless you have health problems. You still have to watch what you eat though. Otherwise you compensate for the fasting.

    I tried the 5:2 for approx 2 days (and one of them was a high Cal day) and couldn't take it! The 500 calorie day was just too extreme for me, I was so grumpy! I've heard good things about the 5:2 so if you can manage it then well done! But I like my food too much to eat 500 - even just for a day! Good luck though :)
