Late night workouts.

Are late night workouts useless? Time frame 8-10 p.m.

i wondered about that, too, when i first started going to the gym - but most of the folks here seem to believe that it doesn't matter what time of day you work out, as long as you show up and put for the effort.

i go very late myself - between 11pm and sometimes until 1:30 in the morning or so - and i'm seldom the only person there.

I'm sure others will have similar insight...

Makes no difference when you workout unless you're doing it regularly at a time when you're already exhausted and can't give it your full attention.

Thank y'all, just people would tell me after your late night workouts you just go home and your muscles are not active, but I figured as long as you go and have a great workout then it will benefit you wether you go mornings afternoon or evening.

There are lots of studies about the best times to workout. However, none of that matters because the best time to workout is the time of day you will go. If you are not a morning person and decide to workout at 5am everyday, you will not stick with it.

The workout that works the best is the one you like and will continue to do.

That's about the time I usually workout, and it's totally not useless.

Very true, I noticed that trying working out at 5 a.m. especially on a empty stomach, and also felt very weak compared to when I workout later on in the day
