Hey you! So in my search for a great fitness shoe for overweight over pronating beginning fitness ladies whose workout regime of choice is mainly walking/hiking/gym I came across the Ghost 6 by Brooks as the overall winner. Of course the shoe is highly dated and once I got the nerve to purchase it 6pm.com totally ran out and I cannot find my size elsewhere. Help!!!! I recently purchased a pair of Nike free 5.0 training shoes which are superbly stylish, comfortable but the stability support and overall durability of these remains a mystery. Any and all suggestions are welcome. I have a wide foot as well since my daughter's birth; just another special blessing she gave to me. Thanks for the feedback!!

Best shoe for walking, hiking, and strength training has a zero "heel to toe drop", meaning no raised heel. A raised heel increases pronation, reduces lateral stability, and prevents a smooth gait when walking. Most shoes, including Ghost 6 and Nike 5.0, have a raised heel, so i personally wouldn't wear them for anything except running, where a slight heel can be beneficial. I wear ordinary skateboard shoes for walking and the gym. They're comfy, wide, durable, and inexpensive too. If necessary, you can slip in a supportive insole like Superfeet, but it's best to minimize external support whenever possible, because it's a crutch that weakens your foot's internal support system (arch, muscles, etc). :+1:

Im sorry I'm an under pronator. My mistake. My feet tend to lean outward when walking. Thanks again!!
