Hello!
My name is Bree. I have an almost 3 year old son. With his pregnancy I went from 190 to 130 within the first few months. I was very sick all the way up to 7 months of pregnancy and was unable to eat much more that watery fruits. He was a 9 lb healthy baby born 2 weeks late. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant, in the last 16 week's I have went from 201 lbs to 187. It is great that I am finally loosing weight (pcos hormone imbalances). But I also know right now isn't the best time to be loosing weight even though I'm not trying. I also am just starting to be able to eat again (without throwing it back up). I put that I was trying to gain 1lb becauSe t gives me an extra 400 calories a day which a pregnant MoN need an extra 300 calories for pregnancy. Was that right of me to do? I just have a hard time with getting high calories or really much eating at all and I am hoping this will motivate me to hit that Mark.

Hi, congratulations and good luck! Your best bet is probably to speak with your OB or midwife, or possibly a nutritionist who works with OB/GYN. I'm currently pregnant and have MFP set to maintenance, and I just don't sweat it if I go "over". But I've had a typical gain so far, an not a loss. Your doctor should be able to tell you if your weight loss is a concern, and if and how you should up your calories. :)
